Real Life Cares

At Real Life, we believe in being a church that helps to build a strong, healthy community by connecting with the people here in Maple Valley and the surrounding area. We have a number of outreaches and ministries within the church that support both our community and our families.

Oil Change Day
Oil Change Day is our signature community outreach that connects the vehicle maintenance needs of single parents, widows, and low income families to the willing mechanics and helpers of Real Life Church. We have averaged over 60 cars in the past, and are believing for a bigger outreach in the future! The best part? Everything is FREE!

Hospitality
Come join us each Sunday after services for our Sunday lunch. We get together to eat, fellowship, and get to know one another better! Have a bowl of soup, a refreshing salad, a sandwich, a dessert, or a little of everything! At Real Life, we believe in feeding not only the spirit, but also the body.

Service Projects
Real Life Church supports various community projects and needs. We have participated in a "Community Impact Day" where over 400 volunteers from 9 area churches came together to clean up and beautify local parks and schools, storm clean up days when homes have been damaged and yards torn apart by falling trees in wind storms, Community Worship/Prayer Services to surround our community in prayer, and a number of other outreach projects focused on making Maple Valley and the surrounding area safer, more beautiful, and enjoyable for all!

Food Bank
Maple Valley supports one of the best food banks in Western Washington, and Real Life Church is proud to send volunteers, donations, and financial resources to support the Maple Valley Food Bank. The food bank provides gifts for over 600 kids every year at Christmas, as well as baskets for dinners at Thanksgiving and Christmas. They also meet grocery and financial assistance needs for hundreds of families in the area each month.

Bread Table
On Sunday morning after services, we have a bread table full of breads, pastries, and other pantry items for our church members and their neighbors. Each week, you can fill bags with all your bread needs and other assorted items to take home and to share with others.

Maple Valley Days
Real Life Church loves to party with families, so we love Maple Valley Days! Designed to bring our community together and showcase our beautiful Lake Wilderness Park and Lodge, it is a long standing tradition for both old and new Maple Valley and the surrounding areas. Real Life provides inflatables, fun activities, and goodies for kids and parents alike. Once again, Everything is FREE! We love to give those pocketbooks a break!

Single Moms
We are part of a group of 12 local churches that have come together to support single moms through Vine Maple Place and Vine Maple Gardens. Under the leadership and faithful commitment of Ron and Colleen Starr, we have established an uplifting and successful program that assists in transitioning single mothers and their children into a productive future. By supplying a place to live, childcare options, job training and education, financial counseling, and many other positive influences, we help them to become empowered and create a better life for themselves and their children.
